RemembranceThis weekend is obviously very poignant as we approach the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Millions of people across the country will be joining in with acts of remembrance on Sunday, for the soldiers who literally gave their today for our tomorrow, and of course this year is particularly special as Remembrance Sunday falls on the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

“They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.”

[For the Fallen, Laurence Binyon]
