Originally built as a cotton mill during the Edwardian era by R & T Howarth, our Grade II listed site consists of the main mill, split over five floors, and the Lodge - a separate, self-contained building with its own office space, private entrance and facilities.
Historically the Lodge was used in 1908 as the office base for the original Chairman, as well as his fellow Directors and the Secretary and Salesman. There are many beautiful Edwardian features still evident within the building, including the original oak panelled Board Room (complete with its original furniture and infinity mirror), the frosted sash windows and even the huge Chatwood’s London safe that was used in the building’s heyday.
We have recently lovingly refurbished the Lodge in order to create a bright, clean, independent building which boasts an assortment of office space here in Rochdale. In keeping with our aims, we have kept and enhanced the original features and character of the building, whilst at the same time making it a suitable space for running a modern day business.
So successful has the renovation been, that the whole building is now already occupied by new customers.
