Hollingworth Lake - 22 minutes from Arrow Mill
Just a short drive away from our Rochdale meeting rooms is Hollingworth Lake: a 130-acre reservoir at Smithy Bridge in Littleborough.
This beautiful pocket of nature is loved by locals and tourists alike, and offers a much needed breath of fresh air after a mornings work at a desk.
The lake began as the main water source for the Rochdale Canal but for almost 200 years it has been a destination in its own right,
If the weather is nice we recommend taking a stroll around the lake, stopping for a spot of lunch or ending your day with a bit of team building in the form of water sports.
Healey Dell Nature Reserve - 19 minutes from Arrow Mill
Another great spot for Rochdale scenery is the wildlife rich Healey Dell just 2 miles outside of Rochdale. The ancient woodlands and waterfalls nudge to the history of our unique town, and the many corn, cotton and wool mills that were fuelled by this natural landscape.
If you consider yourself a history enthusiast, you’ll enjoy the charm of the1800s railway line, 100-foot high viaduct and the fascinating Heritage Centre which takes you back to the early days of the Rochdale businesses and inhabitants who shaped the area.
